Marking a major milestone for the project, the prototype system of the OSPREY-I (Open System-wide Prototyping for Renewable Energy Yield Improvement) was deployed in the FloWave basin. The dual motor power take off system, designed and constructed by the University of Edinburgh team was coupled to the power electronics from the University of Strathclyde. The system will go on to support advanced control systems from project partners Heriot-Watt University and our external collaborators.
