Two HAPiWECers, Adam Stock and Ally Price, attended the MORE / COER Wave energy control workshop in April this year. The conference is usually held in Ireland (COER) and this year was hosted in Turin, Italy by their close collaborators MORE. Being the first international conference for both of us for quite some time, it was a pleasure to go and meet people again.
It was also a pleasant surprise to hear how much progress there has been on control since I last attended a COER control conference. The diversity of the talks was a great way to get us grounded at the start of HAPiWEC. Many of the delegates were interested in HAPiWEC and we got some some excellent advice on how to maximise the impact of the project
